Original Wedding Speeches

Giving a speech at a wedding may be stressful and scary but with a little bit of help and original ideas you will be ready to speak in front of an assembly with confidence and determination. Let’s see how and what kind of original wedding speeches you can give to make the newlyweds smile (and cry) and of course make it memorable.

Whether you are the best man, the bridesmaid, the maid of honor or the parents, your speech has to be sincere, prepared and unique. And just because we all once attended a wedding in our life (at least) where the speeches were really really bad and boring you want to do better… because that’s just not cool at all.

French Wedding Speeches are more and more original and less traditional. In fact, classic speeches are less fashionable these days especially when it comes to the best man or maid of honor’s speech.
Let me explain exactly what I mean by that.
Wedding speeches can take several forms and you don’t have to take the traditional speech anymore.
From personalized songs to videos including choreographies (yes you read it right) you have several options to impress the newlyweds and the whole assembly you will have in front of you on the W-day!
So let’s begin with the songs option.
A simple speech is great but adding an original touch is much better right? Expressing your feelings and words to the bride and groom in songs will be much more personalized and original
So before putting on your best singer costume, you should begin to think about the song you will choose.
Pick a famous song that everyone knows and will recognize, but please don’t make it more difficult for you by choosing a song that you will not be able to sing (not that you have no talent of course) but forget about “someone like you” by Adele… You will encounter difficulties when changing the lyrics and sing on the same tone.
So after you’ve  finally found the perfect song, you can begin to write your own lyrics and replace the original ones.
Begin the process by writing down your ideas, as you would do for a classic speech.
It has to be understandable for you (and everyone) to remember and sing.
Make the refrain simple and catchy to make the guests sing with you!
What you can do to feel less lonely is to print the lyrics for everyone including the bride and groom to encourage them to participate.

For the more fearful ones, a video may be the right option. It certainly takes time and hard work to make a video but that’s the kind of “speech” the newlyweds will remember and above all, keep forever!!
You can either decide to give your speech throw the video or make something more original and personal such as sketches or ask their closest friends to participate with by interviewing them about the newlyweds, their souvenirs, anecdotes, secret and embarrassing moments etc…. Be funny and creative!
Don’t forget to ask the wedding planner or the person in charge of the speeches to get all the necessary equipment for the projection.
