How to… Propose!

This is the kind of stories everybody will hear for the rest of your life, friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, even people you never met.. So no pressure guys, here are some advice and tips to propose and make this moment unique!

Here we are, this is the moment you decide to take this big step in your life, you know that you found THE one and only, the one you want to spend your entire life with, share all the good and bad things in life with her, she is your best friend, your lover and your confident, you want to grow old with her by your side, when you know, you know.
Big and stressful step in your life, probably the biggest and the one you will remember and talk about for a long long time.. You can’t make any mistake because if you don’t know it already, she is actually waiting for this since she met you! As a little girl, she dreamed about her prince charming…
So she definitely has expectations and ideas about how she pictures the proposal…

First, try to figure out what she would want, what kind of proposal she dreamed about, because you don’t have to plan something “too much” if it’s not her style and wishes.
You know her by heart, so you probably have an idea of what you should organize.

Find the right time to propose. No need to rush, it is important to find the right timing for both of you. You have to feel it, be relax, and ask yourself if there are any meaningful day, season, anniversary etc … it could be a good way to find the right moment.

The right place. The when and where will be remembered forever, and even if you can propose anywhere, the most important thing is to create something by yourself.
The atmosphere, the meaning, the decoration, something you choose and create for her, for this special occasion.

How ? well.. This is something we can’t decide for you, this is something that belongs to you and only you. Remember that the most important thing is to say things from your heart, something you wrote, things you want to say to her, things you never told her (only cute things !!) and the way you want to propose has to look like her.
If she is shy, avoid public proposal, and embarrassing moment for her, it could ruin the entire proposal and disappoint her forever…
So get a sense of whether she would be a public or a private girl for this special moment?
The traditional way to propose is the simplest but the more beautiful and memorable one, time to bend on one knee guys !!

If you are not so traditional, you can be creative, create a game like a puzzle that ends with a “Will you marry me?”, ask your friends to participate to create something big ! Ask her favorite radio to announce the proposal (but make sure she will listen to it at this exact moment!), use advertisement, magazines etc…
Surprise her!

About the ring… If you already know the ring she wants, then great! You are saved !
For the ones who don’t have a clue of the rings she wants, and you don’t want to ask, because this is not a “random question” you can ask at breakfast without letting her know what’s on your mind!!
Think about a temporary ring.
This is the option if you don’t want to buy something if you are not absolutely sure she will love it, or if you don’t remember it, this might be safer, for you and your finance! 😉

A bit of practice might be a good idea, right? It can help you be more relax and calm when the time comes, stay focus and be natural. No pressure, don’t forget that there are your words, your thoughts and the most important thing is to say the truth from your heart.
And at the end, she may only remember the end.. “Will you marry me ?”
