So now that you have your princess dress and Cinderella shoes it is now time to think about your bridal makeup and everything about your beauty with those few tips !

Ask yourself what kind of make up you want ? Do you know someone’s make up you liked ?
Start looking for images, inspirations, celebrities’makeup etc..
Look around, ask your friend who got married last month because personal recommendations are the best.
If none of your friends haven’t tied the knot yet and you are the first, don’t panic !

The thing is to choose a bridal makeup which looks like you, something that matches your wedding dress.

Photos

Because you will be under spotlights for an entire day, we can tell you that the camera can makes us beautiful or on the contrary, invisible !
So as I am sure you will choose the first option, put a little more make up than usually and practice if you can before the big day, take pictures.. to be perfect on the D-Day !

A Primer

A very important step you cannot miss !
To make your makeup last, put the primer after your skincare and before all the rest !
There are many Primers on the market so here are some ideas :

Don’t exaggerate on the size, this is not a costume party, choose something reasonable and natural.

Waterproof Make up

Everything has to be waterproof of course ! Don’t think that only Mascara can be waterproof, there are also Eyeliners, eyeshadows etc.. If you want to put some lipstick on, choose one which stays on for hours because it should last through all the hugging, kissing and crying as well as all the rest of your make up !

Safety

If you are thinking about changing something before your wedding, such as new hair color, new fashion
hair cut or an intense tan, think again.
It can be a mistake and difficult to make up after, so play it safe !

Timing

Make up takes time, especially if you chose to do it yourself, so take your time, train yourself, organize your ideas and prepare everything you need before your wedding day to be ready and fully operational. Plan at least 1 hour to do your make up.

So if we can give you a last (but not least) advice, your goal is to be the prettiest bride ever not to look TOO made up, just enough to look special and natural.

Remember, sometimes, less is more.

xx
